In the recent past Eco travel, Eco tourism, Eco friendly, Eco tourists, Eco conscious and all the ECO jargon you can think of have been perfect catchphrases anyone can slap around to look better. Hotel operators, tour operators, Marketers and other investors always throw it around to sound “GREEN” and travellers have not been left out, theoretically are great and amazing Eco traveller’s, it is rather incredibly SIMPLE. However, in practice it’s not as easy as it sounds.

Being Eco-conscious is simply making educated decisions that are good for you, the people around you and the place we all call HOME🌏 – the Planet.
On our second part of the ECO conscious traveller series we suggest a few fips to aid your Eco travels when you set out to your next vacation or staycation.
Treat your hotel as if it were your HOME
A great way to kick of your journey of becoming a more Eco conscious traveler is by feeling at home in your hotel accommodation, by doing simple yet meaningful and fruitful acts such as hanging your towels so they don’t have to be changed on daily basis, taking quick showers and turning off TV, lights and aircon everytime you leave.

Every drop counts
Reduce the amount of water wasted by turning off the tap when brushing your teeth or washing your hands and remember always take quick showers

Reuse hotel towels
Hang up your towels to indicate that you’re happy to reuse them and avoid getting clean towels unnecessary just as you would back home.

Responsibly use electricity /heating and cooling
You don’t leave your lights on at your house when you leave for work now do you? Always turn off the the lights, TV and aircon as you would at home

Our words have power but our actions shape our lives.
